This cartridge’s 142 grain hollow point boat tail is not a hunting bullet. It has a hole in its tip because its core was poured into place while the lead was still liquid. That lead hardened to create the HPBT’s form-fitted core, which alongside its concentric jacket provides the bullet’s outstanding rotational stability.

The bullet’s boat tail helps it conserve more momentum, allowing it to fly faster downrange while simultaneously resisting wind drift. When this round’s HPBT clears a 23.5” long 1:8” twist barrel, it exhibits a 0.553 G1 BC (0.278 G7 BC).
